The Dragon Bravo Fire changed part of the North Rim, including the heartbreaking loss of the historic Grand Canyon Lodge. But the reason people have journeyed here for generations remains: the canyon, the forest, the overlooks, the wildlife, and the extraordinary quiet of the North Rim.


For the 2026 season, Highway 67, Cape Royal Road and Point Imperial Road are open, once again giving visitors access to some of the most spectacular landscapes in Grand Canyon National Park.


And this year, the North Rim offers something especially rare. Fewer crowds. A landscape in transition. A chance to experience this remarkable place during a chapter that will never exist quite like this again.

    Park entry doesn't require one, but lodging and camping nearby fill quickly in peak season — reservations are strongly recommended.
