7 days and 6 nights by powered pontoon
This 280 mile trip travels through the entire length of grand canyon, running all the rapids. It's the most convenient, most relaxing trip because there's no need to hike into or out of the canyon at the beginning or end. Just come to Flagstaff, that's all you need to do: we'll take you to the river, down the river, and back to Flagstaff after the trip. We'll be on the river, running all the famous Grand Canyon rapids, making some short trips to side-canyon attractions, and camping at night on big sandy river beaches, with huge and hearty outdoor meals prepared by your guides from an on-board larder of fresh and frozen meats, vegetables and desserts.

2 days and 2 nights on the river by powered pontoon plus 1 day hiking out of the canyon

As far as we know, this is the shortest ''grand canyon river trip'' that is truly in Grand Canyon, covering the first 87 miles. It's designed for those who want an introduction to Grand Canyon river running, or whose time is very limited. We'll camp two nights on big sandy river beaches, with huge and hearty outdoor meals, prepared by your guides from an on-board larder of fresh and frozen meats, vegetables and desserts. But you must be willing and able to hike up 9 miles (about 5,000 feet elevation change) of maintained trail out of the canyon after you leave the boat. Much of the steep hike will take place during the heat of the day.

2 days and 2 nights on the river by powered pontoon plus 1 night at Phantom Ranch and 1 day hiking out of the canyon
Here's a variation on the Upper Grand trip that will make your trip more enjoyable. This trip follows the same schedule as the Upper Grand, but rather than beginning the hike out late in the morning after arriving at Bright Angel Beach, you spend that night in the canyon at Phantom Ranch. This option gives you added perspective on the canyon, a little more relaxation, and most importantly, the early start needed to hike much of the long steep trail to the rim before the heat of the day sets in.
